Career Country offers many opportunities for pursuing an elite sports career or watching elite sporting events. Esbjerg Football Club has been in the premiere league of Danish football for many years now. Esbjerg’s ice hockey team has also been playing in Denmark’s best division. As far as team handball is concerned, Team Esbjerg plays in the best Danish women’s league while Ribe HK’s men’s team plays in the second best men’s league. If you would like to compete in elite sports, it is possible to do so in one of the profusion of clubs in Career Country.
In the years ahead, Career Country expects to spend hundreds of millions on enlarging the Blue Water Arena and on building a new multipurpose sports hall big enough to accommodate between 4,000 and 7,000 people. Career Country also intends to enlarge the facilities in Sport & Event Park Esbjerg to make it even better than before.
As the first in Denmark, Career Country offers special elite sports classes where it is possible to participate in practice sessions and still attend school. The study programme is adapted to the daily practice schedule.
