Career Country offers museums for every taste. If you want to learn more about the sea and all the wonders hidden in its depths, the Esbjerg Fisheries and Maritime Museum is worth visiting. 

If you prefer the Viking Age, pay a visit to Ribe, the oldest town in Scandinavia. In the centre of Ribe is the “Ribe’s Vikings” Museum where you can see and touch many artefacts from the Viking Age. At the Ribe Viking Centre, you can experience Vikings at close hand, i.e. their food, houses, domestic animals, Viking market and ferocious bouts of Viking men. 

At Esbjerg Museum, you can discover how Danes furnished their homes and shops a century ago. Ribe and Esbjerg offer fine art museums with a wide variety of collections from contemporary art to works from Denmark’s Golden Age (early to mid 1800s). 

Bramming has a fine museum of local history and at the Printing Museum workshop in Esbjerg you can even lend a hand.
