Skilled Automation Engineer
Ramboll Oil & Gas has 700 employees in Denmark, Norway, Qatar, U.A.E., and India, and is an international leading consultancy company within the oil/gas and offshore wind industry. We deliver engineering consultancy services to Danish and international oil companies and entrepreneurs such as Maersk, DONG Energy, Hess and Statoil.
Our electrical, automation and telecom department in Esbjerg is busy with a large number of demanding projects, and therefore we are looking for an automation engineer who can improve our competencies within automation and instrumentation of oil and gas processes. The department employs 35 highly qualified technicians who solve a broad range of design and consultancy projects such as modifications on existing oil and gas installations, design of new offshore installations and FPSOs, as well as commissioning and maintenance.

Your primary tasks will include:
- Design and specification of control and safety systems, as well as field instrumentation
- Project management of technically challenging automation tasks within oil, gas, and offshore wind
- Contact with vendors and clients
- Project execution including factory tests, site supervision and commissioning

Your qualifications
To succeed in the job you should have:
- A B.Sc. degree or equal in automation engineering. Alternatively you are an electrical contractor and possess a good amount of experience
- Preferably more than three years of successful experience with automation, instrumentation and safety systems, ideally within offshore platforms, wind power, power plants or ships
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems and safety systems, as well as knowledge of specification of automation programming
- Knowledge within design, specification, installation and commissioning of control and safety systems
- Project manager experience
- Good English skills, both written and oral, so that you can interact in an international environment
You possess strong specialist competencies, analytical flair and professionalism which you use in connection with both your own assignments and in teamwork with your colleagues. You have a natural ability to work across various engineering fields and build good relations with both clients and colleagues, and you enjoy working on projects where innovation is a high priority.
You are structured, solution- and results-oriented, and able to manage projects successfully.
